National Conference: 18-19 November 2016

The VIII Annual National Conference on "Dimensions for Sustainable Growth among Working Women in India" was held during 18-19 November 2016 organized by Aishwarya Group of Institutions, the event was a great success! The annual event was inaugurated by Dr Uma Shankar Sharma Honble Vice Chancellor

Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur on 18th November 2016. The Key note speaker of the session was Ms Aparna Sharma Independent Director of T S Alloys. This session was chaired by President & M D Aishwarya Education Society Dr Seema Singh. On the occasion the Journal of Aishwarya Research Communication Vol. 8 ISSN 0975-3613 was also released.

In his address Hon’ble V C Prof. Sharma stressed upon the achievements of Women in the recent past in varied sectors and economical growth and marking global presence. Further delebrated on major participation of women in nation development through organized and unorganized sector from rural and urban India; the crucial role and contribution of research and development in the Conference theme, government initiatives and schemes undertaken, their impact and future initiatives. Ms. Aparna Sharma  during her keynote address shared the practicality, facts and cases on the status of working women, dealings, the issues and challenges for sustainable growth with the help of multimedia presentation which gave an insight of the real world with respect to conference theme focusing on India. The session was very interesting and interactive. Further the book authored by Ms. Aparna Sharma titled “The role of HR in today’s world Reality Bytes” was also launched in English and Hindi.

 

The Paper Presentations were divided in 5 technical tracks based on conference subthemes with poster presentation and power point presentation competition especially for students on conference theme. On the second day there was a panel discussion on “Emerging Nation and working Women” which was followed by the presentation of conference proceedings and Prize Distribution. In all there were 150 Resource persons and participants across India who made the conference enriching and memorable with their deliberations. And the selected papers were included for publication in the institutional journals ARC, ARR and JASS

 

A parallel workshop for students was organized during the conference on the topic “Health Hygiene and Nutrition” the expert speaker was Dr Pooja Bedi, Trichologist and Wellness Advocate, Singapore and Ms Parnika Sharma (Ex Spicejet ground staff) on Personality Grooming.

 

 

Each technical track was chaired and co chaired by the designated resource persons and started with a keynote speech based on the session’s theme(s) followed by invited paper presentation(s) and participant’s paper presentations. The papers received were reviewed by Prof. Laxmi Thakur (Ajmer) Dr Supriya Biswas (Kolkata) and Dr Prabir Panda (New Delhi).

In the panel discussions, the eminent Panelists were Ms Ranu Sharma (ASP, Girwa, Udaipur), Ms Abha Mishra (Programme Manager (networking, partnership and advocacy, Aajeevika Bureau, Udaipur), Dr Gaytri Tiwari (Scientist and National Technical Coordinator, Deptt. of HDFS, College of Home Science, MPUAT Udaipur), Dr Prabir Panda( SQN LDR HQ Western Air Command IAF, New Delhi), Dr Saira Gori (Asst. Professor, Gujarat National Law University, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat), Prof. Laxmi Thakur (Prof. & Head, Deptt. of Population Studies, MDS University Ajmer), Prof. Paresh Shah (Freelance Management teacher, Ahmedabad), Prof. Vinita Lavania (Prof. & Head, Department of Sociology, Govt. Girls’ P.G. College, Nathdwara). The moderator for the panel discussion was Prof. Hina Khan, FMS, JRNRV, Udaipur.

After the very strong panel discussion, the valedictory session started in which valedictory conclusive report was presented by Ms. Purvi Katta. Following this, award giving ceremony held in which awards for paper presentation, power point presentation and poster presentation were given by esteemed guests Dr. Laxmi Thakur and Dr. Prabir Panda Finally, conference was concluded with the word of gratitude given by Dr. Archana Golwalkar.
