Talk on Consumer Rights & Consumer ID, 24th December 2015
On National Consumer Rights Day a talk was organized on 24th December 2015 on the topic Consumer Rights & IT. The keynote speaker was Dr. Ajayvardhan Acharya, Assistant Regional Director, IGNOU, and Jodhpur. The main objective of the talk was to create awareness on the use of consumer IT. Mr. Ajay informed that all the government information has become online; the student has to fill the competitive exams forms, electric, water; telephone etc bills online by e-mitra. He said that government is making the cities smart and the consumer should know the policies of government. He also highlighted new opportunities for students besides government jobs in Agriculture, Handicrafts, Tourism, and Mass Communication. Mr. Ajay also focused on Clean & Clear India, Digital India, and Literacy in which the youth can change the present scenario.
