The country’s Traditional Water Management Systems, is an ecological travelogue that looks at links between water, society and places and water resources in the local environmental and social context. An Expert’s talk on the issue was organized on 20th October 2016 by the Environment Cell of the college. The keynote speaker was Mr. Sudhindra Mohan Sharma (Specialist in Ground and Mineral Water). He informed the students that it is interesting to note that how water management evolved in keeping with local condition serves local populations. In many places NGOs and enlightened individuals are striving to revive traditional water harvesting systems. We laud their efforts. It makes the case for a mass movement to revive traditional water management systems, especially village ponds, across the country as one viable way to ensure water security in India.
