Aishwarya Balika Samman Samaroh : 24th January 2018
To give
respect to school going girls and encourage them to continue their studies,
this year a new annual feature been proposed, named as Balika Samman Samaroh.
The 24th January has been declared as day for Balika, as such it has
been planned to keep this celebration on 24th January every year.
However, this year being the first, it was organized on 17thFebruary 2018. The Schools of the town were contacted for
nominating the talented girls of their schools. The response was received from
the 20 schools nominating 220 girls who excelled in academic, games and other
activities.
The guests
present on the occasion were Dr. Rashmi Bohra Regional Director VMOU, Dr.
Sweety Chhabra Chairperson Dhrishti Foundation, Dr. Shweta Dubey President
Women ITI, Maoli and the function was presided by Dr. Seema Singh. The Chief
Guest spoke such activities will curb the atrocities on women & girls and
help them to get a respectable place in the society, besides continuing their
education. The programme was appreciated by many organizations and people, as
it was the only award given in the town.
